CTI takes the lead in establishing a national industry-education integration community for the TIC Industry
From July 31st to August 1st, the inaugural conference of the National Inspection, Testing and Certification Industry Industry-Education Integration Community and the Fifth Inspection, Testing and Certification Vocational Education Summit Forum were held in Changzhou ceremoniously. The conference was co-hosted by the China International Inspection and Testing Innovation Center, Centre Testing & Certification Group Co., Ltd., Ningxia University, Changzhou Engineering Vocational and Technical College, and the National Inspection, Testing and Certification Vocational Education Group. Over 130 representatives and guests from over 100 vocational colleges, instrument manufacturers, and testing and certification companies nationwide attended the conference. Henry Bai, Director of the Research Institute of Centre Testing & Certification Group Co., Ltd., attended the conference on behalf of the Group.
At the opening ceremony, Li Xinshi, Director of the China International Testing and Inspection Innovation Center and Chairman of the National Testing, Inspection and Certification Vocational Education Group, delivered a speech on behalf of the community. He pointed out that the testing and certification industry is facing a series of profound changes, including accelerated intelligent and digital transformation, obvious integration and cross-border development, prominent green and sustainable development orientation, and urgent need for internationalization and mutual recognition of standards. These changes have put forward unprecedented new requirements for the training of talents in testing and certification vocational education. He said that the establishment of the community has opened a new chapter in the development of testing and certification vocational education. In the future, the community will focus on the cultivation of high-level, compound talents and promote five key tasks: first, improving the community's organizational structure; second, improving the level of joint training and evaluation of talents; third, building a high-level teaching and practice platform; fourth, promoting collaborative technological innovation and transformation of results; and fifth, expanding channels for communication and cooperation.
Professor Henry Bai, President of the Research Institute of Centre Testing & Certification Group Co., Ltd., delivered an insightful speech, comparing the community to a large ship about to set sail. "Under the captain's leadership, we embark together, heading for the deep waters of industry-education integration." Professor Bai emphasized the urgent need for businesses and universities to break down their silos and achieve seamless integration, ensuring that talent development truly aligns with industry development needs. He offered heartfelt words: "In the future, more people will surely 'come aboard,'" he said. "We will rationally divide the work, leverage our strengths, and strive to become more specialized and stronger. Together, we will build the community into a 'flagship platform' for the TIC industry. Only with a solid foundation can we go further and forge ahead." This confidence and expectation reflects Centre Testing's unwavering commitment to industry-education integration.
The event held a founding ceremony, with Li Xinshi, Director of the China International Testing and Inspection Innovation Center and Chairman of the National Testing, Inspection, and Certification Vocational Education Group; Henry Bai, President of the Research Institute of Centre Testing & Certification Group Co., Ltd.; Wang Songlei, Vice Dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering at Ningxia University; and Ye Aiying, Dean of the School of Testing, Inspection, and Certification at Changzhou Engineering Vocational and Technical College. The event also featured a ceremony to award plaques to the community's vice-chairman and council members, the unveiling of the Testing, Inspection, and Certification Industry Academy, and the release of the "2024 China Testing, Inspection, and Certification Industry Employment Market White Paper." At the first council meeting of the National Testing, Inspection, and Certification Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, held concurrently, Zheng Fangbing, Senior Manager of the Human Resources Management Department of Centre Testing & Certification Group Co., Ltd., was elected as Deputy Secretary-General.
In addition, the conference also set up a theme report session, held the 2025 Belt and Road BRICS Competition Second Food and Drug Quality Safety and Testing Technology Competition Rules Interpretation and On-site Consultation Exchange Meeting and the first University Technology Achievement Transformation Exhibition.
CTI has already partnered with numerous vocational colleges to develop contract-based training programs and practical training bases. We will continue to focus on expanding win-win collaborations, supporting the incubation and implementation of outstanding projects, promoting the transformation of scientific research findings into practical productivity, and contributing to the development of a modern vocational education system with Chinese characteristics. This conference is not only a grand event for the exchange of ideas, but also a crucial step for CTI to fulfill its social responsibility and deepen its industry-university integration strategy. Leveraging the community as a platform, we will keep integrating resources, optimizing mechanisms, and innovating collaboration models. Together with our member institutions, we are nurturing the next generation of TIC professionals and fueling the industry’s high-quality development with continuous ‘CTI Power’.
